Kasabian speak out

Lead singer Tom on their precarious relationship with My Chemical Romance...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 10 Aug 2012

Kasabian’s Tom Meighan has been telling Hot Press about falling-out and making up with My Chemical Romance on a plane to Australia.

“We’d said some things in the press about them, and they’d said things about us,” the singer tells Celina Murphy. “We get in our seats and they’re sitting opposite us, and I’m like, ‘I can’t fucking believe it!’ and I’m looking at Serge and I’m going, ‘Oh my god’. The plane takes off, I can’t remember how many hours it was, nine or ten hours and I thought, ‘I can’t handle this anymore. I should get up and say something.’ And just as I was getting up, the singer Gerard was getting up and I said, ‘Hey man, I just wanna say that what’s said is said,’ and he was laughing saying, ‘Why did we wait nine hours in the air to do this’?”
